About
Brownsea Island Ferries are a part of local history. The famous yellow boats that operate from Poole have been delighting holidaymakers, special interest groups and local people for over 100 years.
Family Run & Expertly Managed and Operated
The yellow boats were family run and operated way back at the beginning of the last century – and remain so today. They are linked forever with the founding of the Scout movement by Lord Baden-Powell, who crossed on one from Sandbanks to Brownsea Island, where he was to organise the first Scout camp in 1907. The boats today are renowned for their very high standards of service and safety. Click here to read more about our boats.
